Count me as another person who likes the Unofficial nickname " Hobos " . I miss the old Mascot " Bo Rambler " and I never wanted him sent homeless and on his way. Calling Gentile Arena " The Boxcar " is cool also. I believe that Alumni Gym was called at different times " The Brown Box " , "The Old Brown Box" , or " The Brown Box that Rocks " . Being the only Div. 1 school nicknamed The Ramblers is special. The school never, until recently, merchandised this name enough . Having a Wolf on a shirt sort of takes away from the special name Ramblers and mixes us with all the schools called wolves, wolvepack, etc. Rambler gear with the Hobo, " Bo Rambler " was a better match.

CRIPES !! I can't remember where I was yesterday !! Just kidding !! WAY back in the day , when I journeyed up to see Jack Kerris and the boys , it was actually merely "The Gym" --but then moving forway to merely 'Back in the day", it was called the 'brown box that rocks"
Least-wise that's how I remember it---I THINK !!!!

Now then Hobo is fun--BUT I do prefer the present WOLF connotation --If you have ever seen a pack of these critters , it is something to see--FIERCE !
HOBO brings to mind kind of kindly gentle souls down on their luck---But 'Beauty" IS in the eye etc etc--My DAD worked on the C&NW when I was a kid--He brought home stories of how he and his pals used to bring coffee to 'Knights of the Road" and also to warn them of the RR Cops coming to chase them.

I LIKE THE Steely eyed look best.

I looked at the other board. They are hammering the attendance at the MSU game.

I'm guessing they believe that all the MVC schools would be able to have a sell out in near blizzard conditions.

Yup. The roam in packs, mostly in boxcars. Fierce critters.
