A win here would be such a great capper on a really good Loyola sports weekend. Women's hoops got their first MVC win yesterday on the road at Southern Illinois, in a dominating performance where they led at one point by 23. Men's volleyball beat the #1 team in the nation on Thursday and the #3 team on Friday before running out of gas against #11 on Saturday. Beating MSU despite a snowmaggeddon crowd would be the cherry on top.

Yes. It would go a long way toward wiping away any sort of psychological hangups we've had, and give a lot more confidence to this team. If we can not just "hold on" but dictate the play and tempo the rest of the way, I hope we don't have to hear anymore about how "young" we are as a team. Time to grow up. This conference isn't a place for the timid-- watching Wichita State play at home earlier today before a loud, packed crowd is proof of that.
Confidence is going to be a big part of this season. In this second half we need to believe we can win and believe we can dictate the game. I'm really hoping we can push through any runs that Missouri State might go on.
