All kidding aside, I am reasonably pleased by this. I much preferred Watson over Hartzell.
I don't know much about Watson, but it seems like his background and experience make him well qualified for the job.

Finally! Congrat and good luck to Watson. I hope he is successful and stays here a while.
Haven't posted in a long time, but still lurking once or twice a week, especially to see if Swella had come up with any new fat jokes. Hope you all are well.

Re: New AD
I'd like to think that my calling Tom Kelly a bacon-wrapped weiner, and engaging in armchair psychoanalysis of the two female search committee members, had something to do with the selection of Watson .
But I am convinced that the key was the environmental angle I concocted, which JCT contemptuously dismissed as "crazy", which put Watson over the top.
"Crazy"? Crazy like a fox...

Couldn't agree more.
At times, I wonder if you are the reincarnation of Lacan?!
