That one is kind of surprising.

Isn’t Pat Baldwin looking for a job now that Ewing is out at Georgetown? That might be wishful thinking.

Would not hate Matt Lottich if that was a possibility.

Would also be interesting if Denzel Valentine had any interest in coaching. Currently in the G league. They are definitely close, there’s a lot of trust, and he could be a great recruiter.

Losing our Xs and Os guy sucks. Hoping for a local guy, Pat got us connected to plenty of New England/Brewster kids but nothing ever landed

Why are we losing our assistant coach to Iona? Seemingly taking the same position and role there.

Iona is now coached by the former FDU coach whose team we played last year. Possible connection? Possible Iona game next year? Think we need west coast non con teams since we are East in the conference season a lot. Really want to see some WCC teams. An A10/WCC Challenge woukd be great. I view them as the A10 of the west.

I second that idea as well. It doesn't need to be a conference challenge, even.

After last year's impromptu with SanFran, I was kind of disappointed we didn't continue with that friendly relationship. With them at least. Golden did them dirty leaving 15 minutes after the tourney loss, but much of that same team and staff returned. That game benefited us both, them earning a bid and we in strengthening our schedule. We align so closely to SanFran as far as schools and programs go. We shouldn't mind if we are forced to play road games with any WCC opponents. I'm sure a few could turn into buy games, benefiting us in the process.

Competition-wise, Mountain West could be a little stronger and more enticing for a fair mid-major duel right now than WCC. They had a very strong year there, and I wouldn't expect differently next year seeing what Nevada, San Jose State, Utah State, NewMex, SD State, and UNLV can do (each one returning a lot of their guys next year). Assuming we return to form and former selves, I would think majority of the Mountain West would want to schedule early season games with us (we on the road) without any hesitation. I really enjoyed when their deal with the MVC brought SD State and Nevada over to our gym.

And adding to the thread subject, I wonder if Drew will now be seeking an assistant like a Matt Gordon 2.0

Worry might be too strong of a word, but I have slight concern that he might just promote London. Love London, longest tenured Rambler. But have to think we can use a new voice in the locker room after that season
