LU’s roster of quality players is extremely deep this coming season.
I would put them in the following categories (Branden Norris is an exception who qualifies for both of the first 2 groups)
Upperclassmen who started at other colleges:
Bryce Golden Grad 6-9 245
Philip Alston Jr 6-6 225
Jeameril Wilson Grad 6-7 200
Sheldon Edwards Jr 6-4 180
Braden Norris Sr+e 6-0 180
Original Ramblers who have practiced or played with LU:
Jacob Hutson So 6-11 250
Tom Welch Sr+e 6-8 220
Saint Thomas So 6-7 215
Ben Schwieger Fr 6-7 205
Marquise Kennedy Sr+e 6-1 190 (Aug & Sept out with knee problem)
Promising LU freshmen:
Treyvon Lewis Fr 6-6 200 (7-0 wingspan)
Jayden Dawson Fr 6-4 185 (6-8 wingspan)
Jalen Quinn Fr 6-3 185
Walkons:
Caleb Reese Fr 5-11 160 Macomb DeLaSalle
Will Smythe Fr+ 6-4 170 St. Mary Michigan
Nolan Marold Fr 6-8 230 Brewster Academy
+ Players with a red shirt year.
e Players with a possible extra covid year (per Ramblermania)
As far as a starting lineup with solid backup, based on the French tour (& Marquise Kennedy’s past history) I would place them as follows:
starters
Norris Edwards St. Thomas Alston Hutson
backup big minute guards:
Kennedy Quinn
backup big minute small forward:
Schweiger
back up big minute power forward:
Welch
back up big minute center:
Golden
Obviously this may change depending on health (Kennedy, Golden, & Dawson)
and on practice & on players learning the coach’s system
(where Treyvon Lewis may be very impressive).
We are all looking forward to the upcoming season.
Go Ramblers!

Re: LU lineups
goramblers2011,
With Kennedy out 3 games with an injury 2 years ago and out 9 games last year with a hamstring tear, and out until this October with a scoped knee, I don’t see pushing him with big starting minutes in November. I would rather have him putting in the minutes for the A10 tourney & for further games & a healthy life beyond that. I nevertheless said he would be a “backup big minute guard.”
I have to agree on Golden. He played 24.1 minutes a game last year. I was judging by the games in France. He was out the first game with a “rolled ankle” and was playing pro teams the next 2 games finishing against the French “Moses Malone.”
Hutson would probably do well starting to play with his fellow players who have practiced & played in the Loyola system (Kennedy, Schweiger, & Welch). LU’s lineup is deep.

Re: LU lineups
You guys seem deep and good, and I'm probably gonna live vicariously through you in March.
