When Krut gets the ball at the top of the key I don't understand why his defender doesn't lay back to clog the lane to prevent layups and force Krut to take a 15-18 ft. uncontested jumper.

That’s what MSU did, and I believe he went 3-5 on his jumpers!

AHUNTE..nice pick up....I think this is what we will see next year.. Northwestern has been running it all year but do not have a big like Krut that can facilitate, or enough guards to get to the hoop and it looks like the L stop at rush hour........There was an officiating emphasis a couple years ago to get hands off of guards with the ball. The game was getting too physical etc...opened it up for guards to get to the hoop....and boom the game changed and we went to open up the lane offenses with an emphasis on a high pick and roll and other high screens...and spacing became really important
