The blowout wins make a difference in rankings based on performance metrics (Kenpom/Haslametrics). We are positioning ourselves to at least be in the conversation for an at-large.

I understand Drake is undefeated, but 75 votes and they’ve been sitting for 3 weeks? How are they getting more votes when they haven’t been playing?

If Covid has hit Drake as bad as it seems, they are going to have a really tough test with Missouri State tomorrow.

Meanwhile, our NET ranking is up to 29, which is solid. I think we could take one more loss to either Missouri state or Drake, and as long as we made it to the title game and lost, we would get an at-large. Anything short of that and I think we will have to win arch madness.

If 6 losses and a signature win against Florida in a full-season in 2018 wouldn’t have gotten us in, in doubting 5 losses with no signature wins would get us in with a shorter one.

If Drake keeps playing at the level they've been playing at, beating them would be considered a signature win. I agree with what you're saying in general though.

I could be wrong, but outside of the season in which WSU and UNI were both in the top 25 this is probably the best the Valley has been since we joined the league, and definitely the best it's been since WSU left. Drake and MSU both offer potential Q1 wins since they're on the road for us. I'd expect our Bradley wins to sneak into Q2 territory before the season ends... analytically this is definitely the strongest regular season schedule we've ever had.

The MVC has been looking amazing, I hope Drake comes back just as strong as they were before the covid outbreak. I can see them splitting games with MSU. Bradley as been struggling with Henry and Boya out but I think they'll recover. We have some massive games comes up, can't wait to see what happens over the next three days between the top 3 teams in the valley.

Also largely unnoticed, the Ramblers have moved up to #1 on the highly biased, totally subjective, and completely opinionated “Jim Furmanek poll”. It’s quite likely they will remain there indefinitely going forward.

SLU hasn't played in a month, and they moved up three spots this week.

It's so stupid, SLU at least has two quality wins. I can't say the same thing about Drake.
