Meanwhile, Evansville (picked to finish 3rd in the Valley) lost their exhibition game at Wright State (picked to finish 2nd in the Horizon) 2-1.
Women's soccer opens official play at South Dakota on Friday, followed by another road game vs. South Dakota St. on Sunday. The first home game is Sept. 1 vs. Indiana.
