He also has offers from Tennesee and Nebraska as well as Evansville. I am curious what the 3/27 date has to do wit all of this as everyone seemes to have offered on the same date? End of the JC year???

13th ranked JUCO player in the country according to this service: http://www.jucorecruiting.com/2017jucotop100

Probably gonna be a tough get for us over a school like Tennessee. Some highlights: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QbLrFd52iNM

If we are offering this late, I have to wonder if some of those bigger schools are backing away.

The Tennessee offer came in yesterday, so I think he's just blowing up late.

Meant to post this earlier this week. The whole staff checked in on Bibbs the day before he took an official visit to Columbia.

Sounds like they are all in. I like this for a couple of reasons. I like getting local kids.....this would be 3 from relatively the same area and he sounds like a really good kid plus I trust Coach Moser to know talent specifically for his scheme. This would be a great class that we could watch grow for 4 years which I also like.

Agreed! It's really interesting to see how we've really gone after the suburban talent, one of our top targets for the next class is Drew Peterson from Libertyville who fits that mold. I think this works in a couple ways.

1. These high level suburban kids often play AAU with some of the best city league players (Negron ran with the Mac Irvin Fire), which can attract them down the line, and helps further the Loyola brand in the Chicago area.

2. Hopefully it leads to local fans/former teammates still in high school making the trip to see some of their players at Gentile. Hard to believe, but Milt, Donte and Chastain were our only in state players who weren't walk ons. If we land Bibbs we'd have 5 players on our roster next year who could contribute.

Negron is clearly all in on selling him. This came after Bibbs was offered.

As it is transfer season a lot of names are popping up. A few too keep an eye on (based purely on what would make sense, no real smoke yet).

Mark Donnel 6'9 F Graduate Transfer from Michigan- averaged 7.8 ppg and 3.7 rebounds in 19mpg as a redshirt sophomore last year. His playing time was cut in half this year and thus his stats followed suit. Would bring a good size and skill set to the valley. According to him he's had high and mid major interest, but he wants to go somewhere he can play and make an impact. Word is he wants to visit all five schools as he immediately committed to Michigan when he was offered out of high school. He'd likely be a day one starting center for us and would likely be a good mentor for Krutwig during his freshmen season.

KJ Santos 6'8 F from UIC- Big time recruit for McClain who likely saw his window for playing time shrink when Tai Odaise got injured and added another year onto his UIC career. Averaged 7 points and 4 rebounds as a freshmen for the flames. He was a big get for McClain as he chose them over West Virginia, VCU, Iowa, Wake Forest. He's a local kid from Geneva and would be able to continue to get regular playing time and make an impact in the Valley.

DJ Williams 6'7 F from Illinois- Hasn't announced he's going to transfer but all signs point to it. U of I fans love his potential but he didn't play a lot under Groce for some reason. He also took a leave of absence mid season for personal issues. He's hyper athletic, was a 4 star recruit and played high school ball with Donte Ingram at Simeon. Would sit out this season and have two years remaining. His leave of absence is curious, but perhaps he wants to be closer to home. Would be another public league guy and could continue to build the Simeon pipeline (we were close on landing their PG Evan Gilyard earlier this year before he committed to UTEP); he'd have the talent to make an impact in the Valley right away.

Ed Morrow 6'7 F from Nebraska- Kind of a similar story to Williams. Simeon product transferring from the Big Ten, but i think we're way less likely to snag him up. He averaged 9 and 7.5 for Nebraska and was their leading rebounder as a sophomore. There's confusion over why he's leaving as he seemed to be making a nice impact, likely will get high major interest so getting him is a stretch unless he's trying to come home.

Everyone else can feel free to post any transfers they know of that may be of interest! This is total speculation for now.
