Up to 17 in the NET. Depaul jumps up to 50, which is just ahead of Davidson at 52. Vandy drops to around 118. If we can win at Davidson, There’s a good chance we split against 4 (current) quad 1 teams out of conference. That may or may not hold after conference season, but it at least gets us a talking point for outsiders (ie Poll voters)

I truly hate having to root for Bruce Pearl and DePaul. But at least Bruce Pearl is doing something for us, although I always feel the need for a shower after rooting for him. DePaul is really tanking again and I've been watching too much while we've been on hiatus. They made Providence look like the Golden State Warriors and then then the Friars were obliterated by Marquette (aka Warriors). Need to just enjoy the Ramblers and let them pull up their own NET as they did today.

Prior to yesterday’s game we were 19 in NET. Swapped with Alabama, now 18 in NET. USF was 32, now 35

Quad 1: 2-2
Quad 2: 1-0
Quad 3: 1-0
Quad 4: 5-0

Keep this up and that’s an at large resume! Probably lots of Q2-4 games to go. Not sure we will have another Quad 1 game with Missouri State in the 80s and Drake at 91. Maybe if Missouri State beats Drake and doesn’t mess up our away game is a Quad 1

I was hoping DePaul would be respectable in the Big East this year and work their way up to a Q1 win for us. But they have fallen flat and have dropped to 98 in the NET. Typical.

Agree, but Vandy being a Q1 has been a nice surprise. Hopefully they do well on SEC, sitting at 69 now and we need them to stay 75 or below.

I was also hoping Arizona State could turn into another Q2 during the PAC 12, but that’s a lot of room to make up. Currently at 148, they would have to be below 100.

Something else I was just looking at.

With the current A10 net rankings as of 1/7/21 (assuming just starting conference season) we could potentially 3 Q1 road games (Davidson VCU, SLU) , 3 Q2 home games (Davidson VCU, SLU again), and 6 Q2 road games (URI, George Mason, Richmond, Bona, Dayton, St. Joes). I know they don't play round robin so we likely would not have all of those in 1 year, but a definitely more opportunities than we have now in conference.

MVC right now we'll be lucky to get 1 Q1 road game (MSU or Drake) and maybe 1 or 2 Q2 (again, MSU/Drake) home games. Would potentially improve with Belmont/Murray coming into the league, but so many more resume building opportunities.

Getting USF on the schedule was so huge to make up for the loss of the Q1 game @Davidson. However, given it was at a neutral site, it is a bit more precarious to stay as a Q1 win. Currently, USF is at 35 in NET and they will need to stay in the top 50. They have some tough WCC games (Gonzaga, St. Mary's, BYU). Need that Q1 win to stay a Q1 win.

Warren Nolan does a predictor on his site, albeit the results are based on RPI numbers. It’s actually the USF game that stays quad 1 and Vandy that drops to Quad 2.

We’re also predicted to go 18-0 in conference, which would be great but I’m not betting on it lol.

CBS Bracketology currently has Loyola getting in as a 7 seed to play, drum roll....Oklahoma!

I could definitely see the committee making that a game. I thought Oklahoma would have been higher seeded and it being a potential second round.
