The Kennedy/Knight PnR combo is going to be so nasty

gonna be interesting to see how they run the offense next year. THe first question is whether Hutson has all the skills that Krut had...it is what made that offense as successful as it was (does anyone know our final offensive efficiency #s were?). We know he is a better outside shooter...will that change things. The next question for me is how will they use Marquise....are his ball handling skills elevated to him handling the ball more? What I really want to know is what are the skill sets of the older guys coming in. Gonna be interesting to see how similar or different the offense will be....

Is that a question? If Hutson is a sort of passable facsimile of Krut we'll have hit the lotto. All-american centers you can run the offence through are not going to be a regular feature of the team. We can't expect a redshirt Freshman who played 110 minutes total last year to replace the best player this program has seen since the 80s at least. If Hutson can hold up the defensive end of the bargain that will be enough. Drew needs to figure out how to build the offence around our more seasoned players.

He already has 4x as many career three pointers.

Kennedy needs to shoot better than 25% from beyond the arc. Tomas shot 45% beyond the arc last year. I do not know how the other two freshman did. knight shot 8% while Ryan S hit 37%.

We may need a little different skill set next year.

I'm not worried about Kennedy. He shot 38% his freshmen year on more attempts. He shot 80%+ from the free throw line this year. He'll bounce back. He's a good shooter.

Kennedy is too good to keep off the floor. He has to get more run next season. He has patiently waited and deserves more playing time. I imagine that he and Coach Valentine have discussed his role. Kennedy would start for a lot of really good programs. Valentine is going to have to figure out how to manage a deep, skilled roster. It's a good problem to have.
