The opener vs UC-Davis was scheduled because they wanted to get Niles Notre Dame alum and RS senior UC-Davis guard, Joe Mooney, a game in front of some family and friends (he is the brother of Texas Tech and Final Four star, Matt Mooney). Oh, and the coach of UC-Davis is Niles Notre Dame and Bradley alum (and former Bradley coach), Jim Les. Expect a lot of Dons in the building for that one, including, perhaps, official visits from the Tremendous Trio.

I doff my investigative hat to you, sir!

Are you a Notre Dame Niles alumnus by any chance?

I have had the opportunity to speak to both Clancy and Boyle, and each spoke positively about his experience at Loyola.
Let's go Braden!

I see D'Amico has been offered by UC Davis. Will be interesting to see where he sits at the game if we've offered him by then too...

From a Cincinnati paper
"While football action is hot and heavy in October among high schools, some of the prep recruiting picture has shifted to basketball. The University of Cincinnati held its first Midnight Madness in years with several visitors and Kentucky will have a similar activity this weekend with Woodward High School's Paul McMillan IV on the invite list.

Just a sophomore, McMillan has offers from UC and Xavier and has recently visited Louisville, Ohio State and Purdue. McMillan recently transferred from Hughes to Woodward where his father Paul McMillan III is an assistant. McMillan III played at Loyola-Chicago who has also been in to see his son."
Some tough competition

So is he class of 21 or 22?

Also, I believe I remember McMillan having his tiny son in the stands at some games in Gentile.... does anybody else remember that?

Class of 2022.

And yes, I remember his children being at games as well. Specifically senior day.

Here's an article about big Paul from back in the day:
