How the MVC Selects Conference Tournament Locations

I was looking at the locations of the various non-basketball conference tournaments in the MVC, and they didn't seem to conform with the seeding. So I wrote to an MVC official, and was told:

Several of our championships are awarded on a bid basis (and then voted on by league administrators from the 10 schools). These include: M/W Soccer, Volleyball, Baseball, Softball. Others are based on a rotation, including Cross Country, Track and Field, Golf. Those involving the rotation are available to those schools that have facilities that are considered "championship caliber."

I know ISU has their own golf course (http://www.isugolf.com/). I think our facilities should be decent for Softball, Soccer, and Volleyball. I wonder how competitive it would be to bid on these tournaments....
