Womens soccer Yikes

The women got clobbered by Western Michigan in their opener 6-0 with no shots on goal. I think it is listed as an exhibition. Do not know exactly what that means however 6-0 in soccer aint good. Also the result was not posted anywhere on the LU site. WM had a whole article on the match,

Monica and Valerie Gonyo graduated along with Sammy Gage. That's two of the top 3 scorers from last year and an MVC 2nd team goaltender. It's probably going to be a rough year unless someone really breaks out.

After seeing that 6-0 drubbing, I took a closer look at the roster. In addition to losing eight seniors, I noticed that five of the nine freshmen from last year did not return to the team. The loss of 13 players appears to have had a major impact!

I also discovered that many were not allowed to participate not having met the coaches fitness requirement.
There may be good reasons but it is always disturbing to see that many freshman leave the program
