Well, this is probably as close as Loyola can expect to a unanimous #1 ranking....
http://www.avca.org/divisions/men/1-2-poll-4-7-14/The two first place votes for Pepperdine are somewhat reasonable-- the Waves have won 8 matches in a row. Stanford has also come on since a shaky start to win 9 matches in a row. Last week's MPSF sweetheart, BYU, is now working on their 2nd multi-game losing streak of the season.
If you add up the points, at least one voter has Loyola at third place or worse after winning 21 matches in a row and not losing since early January. Hard to imagine what more the Ramblers could do, other than moving the school brick-by-brick 2000 miles west. And note that 10-15 Cal State Northridge has become the 10th MPSF team in the Top 15, getting more points than 13-7 Harvard, 14-8 Princeton, 13-12 George Mason, 19-9 Lindenwood, or 11-14 Ohio State (who beat CS Northridge in California).
