Updated numbers from TeamRankings.com on the probability of pulling off The Eight-Game Winning Streak™:
at Toledo (39.0% chance of winning) X at Drake (68.3% chance of winning) X vs. Illinois State (58.3% chance of winning) =
15.529371 %
Obviously, the game at Toledo is likely to be the lynch-pin in this scenario. According to the TeamRankings probabilities, it's the sixth most difficult game remaining on our schedule. It's never easy to win on the road (take a look at our game at UIC). Toledo is 3-1 at home this season, with their only loss coming by ONE POINT to Green Bay. Toledo has had two common opponents with the Ramblers this year: they lost to St. Joseph's in Philly on opening day by ONE POINT, and they beat Wright State in Dayton by four.
Here's hoping Loyola doesn't have a letdown after the exciting, emotional win at UIC. This is the last non-con game, so it's our last chance to help boost the RPI of the conference as a whole. Road wins mean more in the RPI, so there's an extra premium for winning this one. This will be the third time in the past two years we've played Toledo, first time at their place.
