I grew up in Hollywood

I recently went back to Los Angeles to connect with my old friends. It was fun to talk with my old friends from childhood.

I explored the old neighborhood I grew up in, which is now a historic/legendary neighborhood.

It's more than just the place I grew up in; it's an important lifestyle. If you want to see how I grew up, watch the documentary "Dogtown and Z-Boys." I know a lot of those guys. I went to Mar Vista Elementary School, which is cited in the documentary.

My grandmother was a Santa Monica schoolteacher for 30 years. My father was a Santa Monica policeman for 12 years. My mother was a nurse at the Santa Monica Hospital for almost two years.

---A note about an almost neighbor of yours--Or at least he NOW lives near your ol' stompin' grounds---YES ! there is somebody older than me--My Pal BOB NEWHART is now EIGHTY five years old--9/6--I, for a while, am ONLY eighty-four--12/ 16 !! When you were runnin' around your old spots as a kid. he , his sisters and I were playin' in "Finn's lot" at Austin and Washington in OAK PARK across the street from, St Catherine of Siena's Church !! but then I believe I told you this story many years ago when we and RAMBLERMANIA were young !!!! :P
