It's that time of year. The season previews for women's soccer and women's volleyball are up on Ramblermania. Men's soccer will be coming later this week, probably just after the Saturday exhibition at Western Illinois. In all three sports, things are looking up for the potential finishes in the MVC. Maybe I'm being optimistic, but the predictions are thought out in pretty good detail-- everyone knows I'm not that optimistic about men's basketball, and I was pretty close on predictions last year (closer than all of the MVC preseason polls).

Great work. I wouldn't mind a pair of second place finishes.

Men's soccer preview is up... I'm hoping for better, but it's going to take a few years for Loyola to ramp up to MVC competition, I'm afraid.

If Brian Bement is "mercurial", what would you call Brian Lunar?

In reading New Zealander Elliot Collier's bio on Loyola's website. I learned about a variation of soccer/football called "futsal". I thought it was a typo at first, but not so.
