George Washington Revolutionaries 17-13 (8-9) at Loyola Chicago Ramblers 7-23 (3-14) – 1:00PM CST, Gentile Arena, Chicago IL
Nightmarish regular season concludes as Loyola Chicago hosts GW for senior day. Tipoff @ 1pm, and pregame festivities @ 12:45pm. The Ramblers honor seniors, Caleb Reese, Kymany Houinsou, Zach Royster, Josh Ola-Joseph, and Alex Richardson.
Wednesday evening the Ramblers visited SLU for the final road game of the season, losing 79-65. The Ramblers hung in there during the first half but didn’t have enough to keep up with SLU on both ends of the floor. Xavier Amos dropped a season-high 25 points on 9-12 from the field with a career-high six three-pointers made. SLU won the A10 regular season title with the victory.
Saturday’s matchup will be game-2 of this 2-game set. GW murdered the Ramblers 101-66 on January 10th. GW has drastically slipped since then and fallen out of A10 contender status.
GW enters this final weekend of play at 17-13 overall and 8-9 in A-10 play. They face a 3-6 road record this season and are coming off an overtime win vs. St. Bonaventure earlier this week. George Washington is one of the top shooting teams in the conference with an effective field goal percentage of 55.7 percent ranking second. GW also scores the second most points in the A-10 (83.3). Their offense is still scorching opponents, while the defensive efforts have been lackadaisical and MIA some games.
Rafael Castro returned from injury last week and extended his double-figure scoring streak to eight games. He leads the Revs, scoring 15.8 points per game. Castro also leads the team in rebounding with 8.9 rebounds per game. He ranks in the A-10's top-10 in both categories. Too lazy to type the rest out, but GW also features 7 other guys averaging nearly 8ppg or more, led by Trey Autry and Garret Johnson – both 11ppg. They contain an offensive depth and parts that few other teams have.
George Washington Probable Starters – 6-10 C Rafael Castro, 6-4 G Trey Autry, 6-2 G Christian Jones, 6-3 G Jean Aranguen, 6-7 G Bubu Benjamin
Loyola Probable Starters - Rubin, Amos, TBD, TBD, Dotson
LAST 10 GAMES FOR BOTH SQUADS
Ramblers: 2-8, averaging 64.6 points, 29.8 rebounds, 13.6 assists, 4.4 steals and 3.0 blocks per game while shooting 41.6% from the field. Their opponents have averaged 75.8 points per game.
Revolutionaries: 4-6, averaging 78.3 points, 33.1 rebounds, 14.6 assists, 7.2 steals and 3.1 blocks per game while shooting 45.8% from the field. Their opponents have averaged 76.1 points.
Watch / Listen – Saturday afternoon’s game will be broadcast on USA Network with Steve Burkowski and Tim McCormick on the call, and can be listened to Rambler Sports Network with our friends Sudikoff and CT.

Re: George Washington Preview and Game Thread -- 3/7/2026
1. Thanks for doing the previews this year...
2. Hope we show up for the Seniors tomorrow...Know it has been a long, tough year but for those who will be playing their last game at LU hope we the fans show up and get there early enough for recognition. If for no other reason than to give Caleb Reese a little love.
3. Luke Hunger plays for GW. He is a transfer from NU and their board has been pre-occupied with a recent hot streak he was on. So there may be some purple in the crowd.
