I found this posted on the Saluki Insider yesterday. Know nothing more about it but thought I'd post it here to see the reaction.

Per The Vegas Take Twitter account, odds for Porter's hire are 6-1, making him the fifth favorite. Same source says announcement expected soon.

Interesting. Would Mullins stay, go with him or go to SIU, if this is true? On the total speculation front, I have seen Porter's name associated with the Northwestern job and the St Joe's job.

The Vegas Take is a local sports radio show, so there must be at least something to the rumor.

Northwestern won't open. Buyout too large.

There's a long Porter Moser thread on Rivals' Rebel Confidential basketball message board, but unfortunately the posts themselves are behind a paywall.

Well, that would be immensely disappointing. And judging by the replies from UNLV fans, they do NOT want Porter--i.e., he will not be walking into a very friendly situation and there won't be a lot of patience with the fan base.
But if it ends up happening, immediate promotion for Mullins? Hopefully before SIU can get him to sign?

From The Vegas Take's replies it does not look like anything it set more that they just reached out to him. I bet they are reaching out to a list of coaches so I am not that worried yet.

I think any program looking to move up is going to develop a list of good coaches who they think will help elevate their program. The good news is
that nationwide programs recognize Porter as a top coach. I am putting my bet on PM staying at LU at least until his kids are out of high school.
My only concern and is based on a question I do not know the answer to but is PM fire walled a lot in recruiting by admissions? This is based on nothing I know but if PM has come to a point where he feels that he can not consistently get the kids he wants......?
