Women's Volleyball

Over the weekend, the program has surpassed its win total from 2017. Very nice. Big home tournament this weekend against Northwestern, UIC, and DePaul all at Gentile.

That's great. This is the year I'm hoping that our other programs can make a leap to perform better in the MVC. Aside from men's basketball last year, I can't remember any of our other sports winning a conference tournament in the five years we've been in the league. Men's soccer won the regular season title but lost in the tournament a few years ago. Women's volleyball has only made one (maybe two?) top six finish in five years-- that's the cutoff to be eligible to play in the conference tournament.

8-4 after a 5 win 2017 is quite a turnaround with the same group that did not have seniors last year and only one freshman this season. Tough weekend going 1-2 at home with a win over DePaul before losing to UIC and Northwestern. On a side note, Shane Davis added 3 more wins to his Gentile Arena/Center record whatever that is.
