So Northwestern is hosting a doubleheader at the United Center...NU v Dayton & U if I v BYU. the kicker is that the are calling it the State Farm Chicago Legends. The purpose to remember and recognize the great place Chicago has played in the history of college basketball history. In the article LU is not mentioned at all nor Depaul for that matter. Sounds like they intend for this to be an annual event. Three things strike me 1. Wish we had put this together first. 2. Wonder if any attempt to revive interest in college basketball will have positive residual effects for LU 3. Curious if there are plans to include LU in on a doubleheader later? I am guessing not by the fact that the have all major programs involved in the inaugural year.

Re: LEGENDS DOUBLEHEDER
Maybe somebody should tell State Farm and especially the Mayor that none of the 4 teams are from Chicago

Re: LEGENDS DOUBLEHEDER
The only role NU has played in the history of college basketball is holding the embarrassing record of being the only major conference program to never make the tournament. What a joke.

Re: LEGENDS DOUBLEHEDER
Legends of Chicago ?? Team legends ?? What legends ?? Nice idea , but wrong teams. Once again NU comes with a LOSER--BUT our fawning media will do their thing for the BIG whatever !!!!
LUC and DePewl should be involved of course BUT what do State Farm and the "mayor" know ?? NOTHING whatsoever !!

Re: LEGENDS DOUBLEHEDER
We all know this but you have to give the administration at NU kuddos for taking the risk. If we think we belong maybe we should have been the ones to step forward and get it done.
