Treyvon Andres

Post by goramblers2011 »

Looks like we did get a signing after all today. 6'8 Treyvon Andres. The only other offer he had was from Montana State (according to Verbal Commits). Any of the more knowledgeable board members want to chime in on him?

I'm an Illinois St grad, but have lived in Denver for a long time.

I've seen Trey play since he was a 5'9" point guard in 7th grade at Hamilton Middle School. Trey played point because he had terrific handles and his 8th grade brother, Eric, was already 6'5". He went on to play at Thomas Jefferson where he continued to play point thru his Sophomore season. He had a growth spurt that summer/fall, and moved up front. He expanded his rebounding and shotblocking skills and became a very good forward. He was the 4th ranked player in Colorado his Senior season according to the Denver Post. Wyoming had a lot of interest, and I don't know how he fell through the cracks. Not grades or anything about him - he's a really great guy.
Anyway, he filled out at JC, but still has very go o d handles.

You guys got a terrific player/person.

And Trey, if you read this, I'm Allie C's dad.
