JCT is referring to David Simon. He has a Wiki page, which shows he had a long pro career overseas.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Simon_(basketball)

As for other Rambler cagers playing more than one sport, it is a little known fact that four players from the '63 team also played water polo.
In fact the 1963 Rambler water polo team also broke the color barrier, being, to this day, the only collegiate water polo squad that ever had more than one African American on the roster!

The campus wasn't much in 1963, but it did have a swimming pool and a swim team.

Interesting one. Four star recruit from Maryland in the from the class of 2020. Had originally committed to Tulane, but decommitted when Mike Dunleavey got fired.

Then committed to Rhode Island (little background on him and a highlight video here), but about a week ago decommitted and is going to do a prep year at Hargrave Military Academy in Texas.

In the last week has picked up offers from us, DePaul, TCU, and Nebraska

If you get a chance go to the jmiller post where the link is listed that described the transfer of Anderson in the Hoosier Now article. Note Miller did not say these things he only posted the link.
Hoosier Now reeks with condescension when you listen to the actual narrator describe:
how Anderson missed his last 18 shots (true) and that he is Loyola first two star recruit and that Anderson chose Loyola even though it is in the Missouri Valley Conference. Of course maybe I am being too harsh in that the narrator could only use two syllable words and was hard to understand in his hick drawl.

11 minute highlight tape for SG/SF Garrett Johnson. Second player from the DMV we've offered this class. Looks very athletic, long, has some bounce, and has a nice stroke form the outside. Averaged 18.4 points, 5.9 rebounds, 1.7 assists, and 1.0 steal per game. Lot of offers, including a few Ivys: James Madison, Fairfield, UMass Lowell, Quinnipiac, Georg Washington, William and Mary, George Mason, Brown, Vermont, Penn, Mount St. Marys, Furman, UNCW, Holly Cross, and Towson.

6 minute highlight tape for DePaul Prep PG Ty Johnson. Was a Second Team All City selection. Scores from all 3 levels, not afraid to pull up from very long range, shows some nice passing in the tape, but looks more like a score first kind of guard. Averaged 20.1 points, 3.2 assists, 3.1 rebounds and 2.3 steals last year. Offers from Colorado State, UW-Milwaukee, Green Bay, Chicago State, Youngstown State, and UIC.
