Just to respond to JCT's post, I think it should be apparent to everybody that I am using FAT as a shorthand proxy for all the managerial/character/interpersonal flaws of Mr. Kelly that have been discussed here. It is a visual aid and a symbol, and provides people with a ready made opportunity to poke fun at him, and to vent. People need to vent; it's good for the soul. Is it mean-spirited? You bet.

Nobody makes fun of Santa Claus, and he's fat too. But his fat insulates a warm and giving heart. Kelly's fat is bacon wrapped around a weenie.

If Mr. Kelly wishes to respond in kind, he should know that I'm old and bald.

I'm hoping Watson. Either way, the next AD has a lot of work to do. For sure, I do not intend to sit by quietly as Tom Kelly ruins my University (he is NOT a Rambler in any way, shape or form).

It will be the first male direct report to him other than security. I find that a little strange for some reason. Also isn't head of security his cousin? I'm not sure about that one.

I think the bottom line here is can either of these guys be worse the Grace Calhoun? It troubles me that Tom Kelly to this day thinks Grace not only a did good job but a great job. That says just about everything he knows about athletics, how a university should work, and present itself.
