I'd say its no small feat. Especially considering Missouri State, the preseason conference favorite, has a decent shot of playing on Thursday.
It also continues our streak of never having ended our season on Thursday in St Louis. That’s expected now, but it wasn’t when we first joined the MVC. In fact, when we joined some fans of other MVC schools had us penciled in as an assumed Thursday loser, so the streak is still a fun stat to me.
This interests me so I went back to look at each team's most recent Thursday night elimination:
Indiana State: 2019
Evansville: 2019
Valpo: 2018
Drake: 2017
Bradley: 2016
Missouri State: 2015
Southern Illinois: 2013
Illinois State: 2011
Northern Iowa: 2003
Loyola: Never

The NET actually like ISU (109) quite a bit, so it should be a Quad 2 Loss. Obviously still not great from an eye test perspective.
