He used him to win, mechanics be damned. PM needs to do the same. Keke has been playing for a month and a half now. He should be back to game shape and ready to play 30 minutes a game. Free Keke White or sit him because he's not healthy. It's unbelievable the difference between the offense when Keke's out there.
Keke is great at distributing the ball, but Milton is also a great PG. He is just not having a good night. Porter should have sat him earlier, but now we need him to close the game. Milton is always dangeorous!
I'm not saying Milt shouldn't play. I'm saying Keke should play more allowing Milt to shift to the wing. Milt's a good distributor but far from a true point guard. It's nice having an 8 or 9 man rotation, but those two are guys who we need out there playing big minutes.

This is not the game in which I wanted to learn Porter's philosophy on fouling up 3 with time running out.

A win is a win, but I hope that we've gotten this out of our system.

Holy crap! That was close! Props to Drake for playing hard and being resilient, but we really can't play like this and then wonder why we aren't in the midmajor top 25.

Way too close for comfort, but that's how just about everything went around the league tonight. Indiana State beat Illinois State by 1 in OT, Evansville won by 2 at Missouri State, and Wichita State only beat SIU by 12 at home.

Well, that was a letdown game if I've ever seen one, but a win is a win, right?

On to SIU. Feeling less confident about that one. They'll be looking for their first win and thinking they have a shot at us.

Of Drake's 17 games, this was their 5th lowest scoring game. And it also came when their best player had a season-high points. I thought our defense could've been better, but it wasn't awful. That said, the turnovers on offense are a MAJOR problem. And when turnovers are a problem, you can't give your best point guard 17 minutes. FREE KEKE WHITE!
