But if the season hasn’t technically started, is it really “this season” yet? But *is* it still far enough away to be next season? Maybe he should’ve said “upcoming season”...but is that necessarily the same as “this season”. These are important hairs that need to be split and properly categorized.

Indeed. My parents always recognized him immediately from My Favorite Martian, but I always saw him as Mr. Hand from Fast Times. He bridged generations. Also seemed to play the role of a judge a lot.

I wonder if the Vandy game will be at the “start” of the month or “beginning”, “early” “middle” “late” or “end” of the month? Similar to the “this season” or “next season” question. I view it as “‘this season” once July 1st arrives (the first day of most university/academic fiscal years)

Any background on why this game was scheduled? Seems like a random opponent in a random location....but a good excuse to escape the Chicago cold and visit sunny Phoenix!
