OH YEAH!
I've been searching high and low to try to figure out how the returning seniors' scholarships work. Thanks for sharing this info. Much appreciated.

New commit. Will Smythe.
I’m excited to announce that I am committed (PWO) to Loyola University Chicago to continue my academic and basketball career. Thank you @CoachDrewLU for the opportunity. Go Ramblers!

Smythe is an elite shooter and a great student. Michigan ties with Valentine name and ties could already be paying dividends.

I love the seniors. I want them all back. I think it’s premature to worry this week, but I’m starting to worry the ivy boys and other potential transfers might be waiting to see what the seniors do.
The nightmare scenario is the seniors potential recruits get tired of waiting, the seniors leave anyway, and we get nothing to improve. Is anyone else worried about this?
I understand it’s a big decision, but I really want to see us moving forward, no matter what, and not stuck in limbo

Given that Braden, Kennedy, Hutson, Pax, Tom and TY/Ben are all committed and bought in that's all i care about. That's the future of the program. If 2021-2022 is worse than we anticipated because the transfers don't come or the seniors move on...well we lost our coach and taking a tiny step back is probably expected.

Saint Thomas announces tomorrow, and there are zero 247 Sports Crystal Ball predictions for him:

6'7" and a 45% 3 point shooter. State champ as well. He would be quite the get. If he's not a lockdown defender when he gets here he will be by the time he leaves.

Feel like we have a good shot. Seems like he was trending upwards getting some bigger school interest/offers from SMU/TCU/Mississippi, and since then has been mostly mid majors that I would consider us a step above. Who knows if the previous bigger offers were really commitable, or if he wanted a bigger role than they offered.
Regardless, based on us being the most recent offer we are in a good spot. I would say either us or Murray State

Murray is a weird school to me because they play in a demonstrably weaker league and haven't had much tournament success but they just sent a guy to the league who went in the lottery and won ROTY. When he's recruiting you on twitter that has to mean something, although exactly what is unclear.
