We take our last TO with 6 minutes to play? Haven't seen that for a while.

They have SEVEN players that have scored 8 points or more. We have six players with three fouls or more.

Didn't cover the 20 point spread.

Yeah...that was embarrassing. I even made a couple of my friends watch the game with me. Sigh...

86,

Loyola's AD was at the Notre Dame game in December and he had a nice conversation with alums including myself.

I certainly don't completely understand it, but we stink. I never thought Milton Doyle would consistently look so helpless. He isn't one of the top 10 players in the league. Probably not 15. I had high hopes for Ingram, Peterson, Richardson, James (flashes but he gets beat too often). Simply don't get it. We must call it as it is. We are awful. I thought the CBI was a jumping off point. Instead it was a peak. I love CT, but he's not LeBron. How is this happening???

Sam,
I share in your disappointment. I would not say the team is awful however. They have talent and just need to get hot. If that happens in St L. who knows what could happen. Avoiding Thurs. is key and still possible.

Last year's CBI was great but it basically was just extra practice time that Loyola paid for. The CBI is good for experience but does not mean you will be in a higher tourney the next year. Looking at previous CBI teams will demonstrate that. Many teams turn down a C tourney and some teams that are in it do not try. So the championship should have been taken with a grain of salt. The NIT for one is very hard at our level to achieve especially with the new selection process. As of now Loyola is 9-12, and 2-7.

Best likely: 5-4
IN State:L
IL State: W
@ Bradley: Win
@ Drake Win
@ MO State Win
WSU: L
Evansville L
@ SIU L
UNI: W

14-16.
Win Th. at the tourney
Win Fri at the tourney
L Sat

16-17 (not likely but this would be remarkable)

At 16-17 with a senior heavy team I doubt there will be post-season tourney this year.

Realistically I predict a 4-5 and 1-1 in the tourney. Final record: 14-18

Crazy to think that our HOME SEASON is over 3 weeks from next Wed. and it went to the end of March last year
