Great--going head-to-head with the Musselman, the master of recruiting JuCos and grad transfers.

Have a feeling it’s not going to be us. Arkansas has questions with a new head coach, WV getting involved late, lots of variables there that would cause him to wait to commit. Nothing new with us, he already visited, not sure what he would be waiting on if he wanted to commit to us outside of waiting to see if he can get a better offer.

I wouldn't be surprised if he's waiting to see what Arkansas's new head coach, Musselman's interest is in him. I think hearing nothing from Hamlet's camp in terms of official visit to Arkansas is good. Their interest may be minimal.

He is likely our #1 PG target, correct?

I'd have to think so. I think a close second is Jalon Pipkins. As soon as Hamlet decides, I think we end up with one of the two.

Reading a little more about Hamlett, is his path: JUCO (Motlow State) --> Buffalo --> JUCO (Northwest Florida State) --> TBD?

Not sure if I have seen someone start at a JUCO, go D1, then back to a JUCO. What would his classification be?

He never played at Buffalo. Transferred after 1 year of JUCO to Buffalo, which wasn't a good fit. So rather than sit out he went to a top JUCO to keep playing, and it's not like Motlow would have held a spot for him (similar to Maurice Kirby going from VT to Coffeyville for a year). He'd be a redshirt junior in terms of classification. In my opinion he's the most complete point guard we have offered, Pipkins strikes me as more of a combo type. Not that we couldn't use both! I'd probably agree that if we haven't gotten a commitment by now it might not happen though, which isn't the end of the world.

Some kids just take time to find their fit. It's easy to forget Milton Doyle committed to FIU before a coaching change, then spent a summer in Kansas, before settling in at LUC for 5 years.
