lmao no it will not. His legacy will be winning the banner and coaching the retired jerseys in the rafters. Step away from the ledge.

I am no where near the ledge. He did a good job, but he basically had a four year group that played extremely good. Do not confuse a legacy with memories. Dean Smith created a legacy at UNC, Coach K created a legacy at Duke, Izzo at MSU, Knight at Indiana created a legacy. This is sustained excellence that pushed these programs into true National Powerhouses and into Blood Blue status.

So we are clear, I love PM and hope he stays a long time. I think he has done a great job. He just has work to do here to have a true legacy. If we slide back into irrelevance, then it is a blip to be remembered for the fun that it was. I was at the Joe when we were horrible. I was a student in 85 and saw LU fail to capitalize on that momentum. So, I stand by my original statement.

I think what Porter has done is more that enough to build sustained success. Obviously I would prefer that he stays, but at the level of investment the University is clearly willing to put into MBB, the national profile the team now has, and the basketball talent pool the University is located in the middle of, I think we'll be ok regardless. This isn't the 80s and the admin is clearly aware of the value a strong MBB team has to the overall success of the school.

Also "He did a good job" is how I would describe having a good year in the valley. He took us from 1-17 in the Horizon League to a Final Four and a Sweet 16 that required beating a 1 seed in-state school rival. That's enough legacy for me.

To be honest, not a shock. He played himself into a spot on a high major team.

Does anyone know if the NCAA has already granted a blanket waiver to all transfer students for next season? Or are they just expected to?

They were going to vote on it in January, but delayed due to the Supreme Court case and a few other factors.

Looking at my crystal ball, I expect the Supreme Court to decide on the case in June and the NCAA to vote and approve on the transfer waiver in July or August in time for the football season to start.

Actually, SI is reporting that the NCAA council could vote on this on April 15.

He was the best NBA prospect in the MVC in my opinion.

I can't figure out how to post a tweet here, but we just gave an offer to a 6'6 forward from Nebraska.

That was fast. Makes you think it wasn’t someone Porter wanted, but the new coach might like
