Since our loss of Bulldogs, I vouch for Beard and Belly also. Great menu. Brunch and bloodys are kickass. Will be a Saturday and Sunday game day stop from now on. A good number of other fellow Blers fans have been going there too.

And while discussing foodie things, Moodys Pub hits the spot…… and if yer into Mexican, Mas Alla del Sol - ran by a great and kind family. Both are short walk away from the other. Both have become favorite stops.

That old apartment upstairs was home to many massive parties. Do people still live up there?

I was told the apartment is empty now. You should see the back bar...they put in some nice leather couches and really improved it from the sh#% bucket it once was.

It definitely was a sh#% bucket back there...but it was OUR sh#% bucket! Many a night spent there for $15 all you can drink deals.

Hopefully PorkChop is under new management. The reviews of bad service and bad food PLUS code violations is not an appealing combination.

Beard and Belly (old Pumping Company spot) is a GREAT option. Huge beer list and food is much better than typical 'bar food'. Only downsides are that it's not a 'sports bar' so no TVs or anything and it's a bit more of a hike to Gentile than Bulldog or Bruno's.

Bopngrill is a great spot for a burger. Ranked as one of the best places in Chicago for one. Order at the counter style right next to Chipotle and the old Bulldogs.

Last time I was there, not a real comfortable place to eat. I live nearby, so I take out from there sometimes, good burgers. But it's 98% takeout and the tables are neglected.

Moody's Pub is a classic burger with a great experience, but it's a little more than 1/2 mile south (two El stations).

This pre-game/post-game dilemma is getting pretty serious.
