So, we are 10 in the NET, 9 in KenPom, 18 in AP and Coaches' Polls and now we have a SI 3rd team All America! How in the world are we not a 6 or 7 seed? The Committee is gonna be under pressure if they give us a 8, 9, 10, or 11 seed this year.

Interesting fact about SI All America teams, the only two players who are not in a true P5 conference (I exclude Gonzaga because they do have a nationally recognized program) are Cam and the kid from Houston. Houston's conference is not a power conference but they seem to get treated like one with Houston being ranked in the top 10. So, how good does a kid like Cam have to be to be considered for and to make it onto SI's 3rd team All America? We know basketball is not an individual sport and it requires other players around any individual for the team to succeed. The supporting cast thus has to be pretty darn good for Cam to receive this honor. If we were a .500 team and did not win Arch Madness, he doesn't receive this award.

Just some more evidence and an additional argument for LU to receive a better seed.

Clemson and Xavier both lost tonight, which should help our chances for a 7 seed.

Edit: I see that AMDG already reported the Clemson loss.

11 is the same thing as a 6 so I'd be cool with that seed. I think the Tourney Committee sees is that way as well.

Put us against some West Coast team with a big name but hollow record who had a tournament this weekend. Make it an early game. The stadium will be pro Loyola against a warn out opponent.

A school I'm curious to see what happens too is Colgate. 13-1 in the Patriot league... Net: 7 & KenPom: 82. With such a week schedule and such a disparity with these two ratings... what happens to them if they don't win their conference tournament?

Not as important for us, but could be big for Drake and the MVC. Never forget, more teams = more $$$

Tsk, tsk, too bad! Coach K said at the beginning of the season, that the NCAA should cancel the season. His wish is being fulfilled at least for his team.

Unfortunately, he will be picked up as an in studio commentator and we will have to listen to him drone on during the tournament.

I believe Duke's forfeit in the ACC tournament will still be considered a "Good Loss" on Selection Sunday.

Jay Bilas moved Duke up from a 5 to 4 seed in his bracket upon hearing the news.

More good news for Drake/MVC. Virginia may have just popped Syracuse's bubble.
Also Hemphill is now expected to be back for the tournament if they're selected, so the committee will have to take that into consideration as well.

The committee doesn't have to take anything into consideration, especially if it contradicts the committee's bias.
Let's go Braden!
