Agreed, I was frustrated thinking the same thing.

Down 6 with numbers and Clemons settles for a 3.

That's dumb basketball

Also, this is an embarrassing last 10 minutes all around, especially for a team with 5 seniors. No one looked good. The defense looks lost, especially in transition. Our ball movement is unbelievably sloppy. Why Krutwig was on the bench for that long with only 3 fouls is beyond me. He's a player of the year candidate. Ride him until he fouls out.
Who knows, you think Porter would have enough trust in him too.

Agree. He has to take that to the hole, but in fairness we've had a few poor shot selections tonight.

4 fouls I understand sitting him during that run. 3 fouls is almost like it was a brainfart by PM

One more thought: our transition defense is overrated. The numbers are great but inflated. It relies on our lack of offensive rebounding and sending 4 guys (sometimes all 5) back from our half court offense, which is already heavily perimeter oriented. When we turn the ball over carelessly like we have tonight, we get caught flat-footed.

Regardless of the schedule change, we should have not lost this game. They had to deal with the same adversity of not being able to prepare, and we should have won this game on the talent disparity alone. Way too sloppy tonight

This falls on Porter. It's BS that the league did this to us on short notice but Porter is responsible for getting them ready. It seemed like he did but they choked down the stretch.

Get it together

The league did it to the Sycamores too. Imagine getting told you have to face the league favorite on 48 hour notice.

Like others have said, our talent disparity should be enough to win games like this. It was showing at first...and then we just shut down. With the weapons and talent we have, a 7 minute scoring draught is simply unacceptable.
