Thanks GO !! I "rambled " through the tweets --MEMORIES !! ( BTW my cleaning gal was here and looked over my shoulder--commented on how great the Campus/Lake looked. I said " it is--but try it in the winter "--She saw a piocture of SR Jean Dolores--and said something like --What a wonderful little old lady !!!!--I said--She is a NUN and also Serena was lucky that Sr Jean did not hear her comment !!!

Thanks again for sharing !!!

I feel bound to make a totally uninformed and irresponsibly speculative conjecture on who the next president will be. It's a swella thing...

Here goes. The new president will be...

Ed O'Connor, Creighton's provost.

In the unlikely event that I'm right, I'll post my reasoning.

I'll take Condi Rice. Let's see who is closer.

We already know Swella is wrong.

The invocation mentioned "her" and "she."

edit: The pick is Dr. JoAnn Rooney

edit 2: Interesting pick. Very qualified and will be good for the University but nothing points to her being an advocate for athletics.

Very interesting. We can call it a tie, swella. You did have a layperson with an Irish surname.

edit: On reflection, I'm going to claim victory here. A woman who worked in the Pentagon!

The scant information available about her via Google is... something.

Dr. Rooney's speech was interesting and well done. She described a university vision larger than the immediate community. She also said part of her job will be to find the rocks in the way of allowing everyone to achieve their goals, and moving them out of the way.... Interpret that as possibly a good thing. Hopefully she is accessible to understand the potential of athletics for expanding the universities reach beyond the local community....
We shall see..

My big questions are pretty straight forward.
Will she change the organizational chart for the university?
Who will she replace of the seven people who directly report to her?
How will she get the Business school off of probation from the AASCB?
How will she increase the stewardship and fundraising for the university?
What system of accountability will she implement for staff and faculty?
What will she do about Swoopes and those involved with the matter?

Is she related to Mickey or Andy Rooney?
Let's go Braden!
