Any early rotation predictions now that it appears the roster is set?

I think the locks are Moore, Tavarez, and Rubin starting. Could feasibly see any of Houinsou/Amos/Ola-Joseph at the four - I have no idea how that shakes out.

At the 3, Glazkov/Patrick/Love are all possibilities. I think I'd lean Patrick, but Glazkov wouldn't shock me either with another year in the system. Dotson will likely be the backup PG (but could see Houinsou getting on-ball reps too).

I think Richardson will likely be the backup big with Young having spot minutes.

Basically, I have no idea. It'll be interesting. Lots of talent for sure (I think there has to be smoke to the NIL situation being surprisingly robust). One concern is that we may not have a go-to guy on offense now that Dawson is gone.

I think you're close. My thoughts are Rubin and Moore are starters. The rest will be dictated by three factors in my mind.

1. Who's shooting the 3 the best;
2. Who's taking care of the basketball; and
3. Who picks up the defense the quickest.

One thing is for sure, this group has depth and athletes. There is no reason we can't play hard and uptempo for 40 minutes.

I thought when I first saw the team last year in the game against the alumns that it was the most athletic group we had ever had collectively. Yet they were not great ball handlers and after Moore went down we struggled a little offensively. Pretty solid defensively. Sometimes great athletes are not great basketball players. So this year it seems like we went with more, smaller guards and shooters...So last year maybe more defensive players, this year we seem to fill holes that we had last year , ball handlers and shooters and a low post presence....maybe these new guys are better all round players than the guys we had last year.,.
I was excited about Dawson, Quin, Moore and Rubin coming back and only having to add one player. Now here we go again and who knows...other than Rubin at center...probably Moore at guard if he is fully recovered and then it is a crap shoot. Looks like a lot of interesting pieces but how will that gel into a team and what kind of team ?

Will be an interesting team to say the least.

Biggest question - can it all come together very quickly in November?

TalkinBlers Dave announced yesterday he'll be doing a spaces tonight about the new guys.

1.Good Luck to Jack...seemed like a good kid..hope he has success
2. Seems we have 13 scholarship players, if the new # is 15 we have room for 2? Should we fill these? if so transfers , incoming freshman,,give scholarships to walk ons like Reeves..? Or maybe they are waiting on the final ruling on NIL and rosters.

Seems like maybe the staff are trying to fill all 15 scholarship spots. Wonder what happens to the walk-ons! Are they practice players now? Can they travel with the team? Assuming they won’t be able to play in a game if the roster limit is 15.

Here is your answer. No more Jacob Patrick -- had a thought it might be going that way after we hadn't heard an official announcement yet, and since he flaked on VCU a couple years ago.

On second though, guess we aren’t going to 15 scholarships and Jacob Patrick is no longer coming to Loyola, according for former Phoenix Sports Editor Nick Schultz

Would Harris be one of the last covid-year guys, or is this contingent on some new eligibility rule from the NCAA (like Saint Thomas is banking on).
