The Cougars head up to Evanston and beat the #25 Wildcats of Northwestern. Northwestern has wins over Dayton and #1 (at the time) Purdue. WOW! Cougars were 24 point underdogs.

I was at the game. I was impressed with the defense the Cougars played against us and it just floored Northwestern. Chris Collins simply had no answer...the whole second half they just tried to go one on one and Chicago State just would not back down. They were quicker than NU and never blinked. So even though Chicago State has had some bad losses I think we have to give our guys some credit for sticking in there. Their defense reminded me of the Moser Ramblers, stifling, intensive and together. They made Bo Buie look average. I hate to say it but they will probably end up losing some guys to the portal. Congrats to the Cougars and congrats to the Ramblers for hanging in and defeating the Cougars.
