Yeah I'm jumping off the Hutty bandwagon until he starts playing better. He's got huge potential but isn't ready. He's a liability on both ends in this game, and Welch is completely outplaying him. Still love Hutty long-term...like most bigs, it'll click in his 3rd-5th years.kato669 wrote:I love Hutty but he's getting powned in this game so far

He passed up his first couple shots in the lane early in the game....and hasn't really even had one since. Playing with a lack of confidence for sure. But given his defensive lapses - I don't want to see him much the rest of the way.ahunte1 wrote:Is Schwieger just not shooting now?

Does Mosley miss a floater…like ever?
Re: Missouri State Preview and Game Thread -- 2-6-2022
Agreed. Schweiger is most useful against lower-level teams where we're struggling to get offense going. He's such a liability on defense against good teams and not playing well offensively.Sloth84 wrote:He passed up his first couple shots in the lane early in the game....and hasn't really even had one since. Dana Ford just used their last timeout. Odd.

We won and didn't taunt the student section nor dance a jig on the court.
Nice Q1 win with class.

The Valley runs through Chicago! What a huge win. Massive game from Tate--if he keeps his stroke going, look out. Might be the offensive spark this team needs. Lucas got his revenge on both the offensive and defensive end. Uguak was phenomenal on Mosley and playing down low.
Coach Drew made great adjustments. Realized quickly we had zero chance to stop Prim one-on-one so started just throwing bodies at him. It works.
Team cleaned up the TOs in the 2nd half as well.
And all this without Quise!
Life doesn't get easier. On the road @ Bradley on Wednesday and then hosting UNI on Super Bowl Sunday. Ride this momentum.

Kennedy out. Knight on the bench for 95% of the game. And we still found a way to win a huge game.
Road dogs, indeed!

What a win, great job fellas! Especially while missing Marquise. Lucas huge gamer, and showed that if actually allowed to defend (and Uguak for that matter) he can shutdown Mosley. Coach V with some good coaching today and came up with a winning game plan. Tate, way to step up, biggest game of the year for him, would love to see that offense continue! Also huge props to Tom for handling a tough assignment, contributing, and playing great. He deserves more minutes and should be the primary back up to Chris, he plays defense well and provides a good spark. He has earned it.
Also so odd that MO St just quit with 28 secs left, know Prim came up limping but not much heart there. Glad our team always shows strong effort.
Great win, puts us back in 1st and should be a quad 1 win to boost the resume as well. Well earned victory guy, on to Bradley.

Spot on 303 — best prepared in weeks for the team. Kudos to the staff! And man did we outtough them. Watershed game in my book. Look at Valley, team is back.
