We should definitely break into the AP Top 25 next week.
Seton Hall, Alabama, Tennessee, and Texas, might all drop out of the Top 25, and we should leapfrog Oklahoma as Next Team Up.

Glad to see the Ramblers ranked.
Hopefully we use this as fuel to continue the win streak and keep climbing up the rankings, because other Valley teams are going to be gunning for us even more than they already have been.
Also, good to see Auburn at # 2. If they take care of business against Georgia and Kentucky, they might take the #1 spot from Gonzaga.

They would be #1 if some clown hadn't ranked them #9. 59 of the 60 AP voters had Auburn at least in the top 4. If the reporter out of KC had them at #4 (instead of #9), they'd be ranked #1 in the country. AP voters should be subject to having their vote taken away if they are that far off their fellow voters.LU Rambler12 wrote:Glad to see the Ramblers ranked.

Congrats to the Ramblers though! Let's continue to win and climb.

Yeah, I saw that and wasn't sure what to make of it. Maybe the KC reporter watched the game against Ole Miss and wasn't that impressed? Either way, Auburn had more 1st place votes than Gonzaga, but the Zags reclaimed the #1 spot on total points.goramblers2011 wrote:They would be #1 if some clown hadn't ranked them #9. 59 of the 60 AP voters had Auburn at least in the top 4. And #24 in Coaches Poll. https://www.usatoday.com/sports/ncaab/p ... 022-01-17/
Interestingly, last week the #25 team in the coaches poll had 105 points. This week #22 has 103. Guess the coaches couldn't decide who they wanted as the last 5 or so this week.

Congratulations to the team on earning a top 25 ranking! While the last three games have been a little bit of a letdown, that should not take away from the overall body of work so far.
I don’t care how good of a team you inherit —- a 30-year-old becoming a first time head head coach (Clayton Custer is 5 months away from turning 27, to put it in perspective) and posting a 13-2 record with only single-digit losses on a neutral court to the No. 2 and No. 14 teams in the nation, while having to revamp an offense that lost its all American centerpiece, is impressive. We’re undefeated on American soil, at the top of our conference, and ranked #22 in mid January, despite having to recover from a 26-day halt, and having to frantically travel and play 3 games in 6 days. We have the 4th longest active win streak in college basketball. We have one of the top 5 active home winning streaks in college basketball. We are off to our best start in 56 years.
The Top 25 ranking is well-deserved. The team has proven it can play with the country’s elite (Auburn and MSU), beat power conference schools (DePaul, Vandy, and ASU), win against top 50 teams (San Fran) and come back from large double-digit deficits even when they struggle for an entire half. I’m loving everything this team has done so far. Ramble on

And he had Auburn ranked #8 last week so he actually dropped them a spot. I'd really like to hear an explanation for that.goramblers2011 wrote:They would be #1 if some clown hadn't ranked them #9. 59 of the 60 AP voters had Auburn at least in the top 4. Argues he's doing it based on who's the "best" vs. "most deserving." Cites Kenpom, Sagarin, BPI, etc. showing Auburn isn't as good as the other teams. He argues that although Auburn has the best resume, they wouldn't be favored on a neutral court versus the 8 teams he ranks ahead of them.WestCoastFan wrote:And he had Auburn ranked #8 last week so he actually dropped them a spot.
