The envelope please, and the winner is.....
Re: The envelope please, and the winner is.....
I was over at a Georgetown mass on Saturday at Madonna. I was told expect an announcement early next week. It won't be a collar.

What kind of big belt (56) lawyer gives a contract to a coach with no provisions of conduct or termination. Here's hoping a new president cleans up his svp's

86 !! One that has NO idea re the area he is assuming authority over. You know that though ! The guy you are talking about--I do NOT know him --but according to all I have read here and heard elsewhere, came up through the ranks as a paper pusher. If this is actually the case, the People in atual authority over him are at fault !!
This IS a bad situation for Loyola--They will handle it I am sure, but if I read between the lines, it just might cost $$$$ to do so. SAD and inexcusable.

Former Education Secretary Arne Duncan would be an interesting choice. He's Catholic, from Chicago, and apparently available.
Plus, being a former basketball player at Harvard, he'd surely support athletics.
Highly unlikely though. He doesn't have an advanced degree, and seems more interested in K-12 than higher education.

Stephen Freedman, the current Provost at Fordham, seems to have a suitable resume. He was a prof at LUC for 20 plus years years beginning in 1978 and has served in high level admin. positions at different schools. Has an environmental background.
