That sounds awesome. Great athlete that should become a solid rotation player. Must have helped he was from Porter's home town.

I LOVE this commitment! A local guy, good athlete, good size, good citizen and student.
Seems like the quintessential Moser-type recruit.

Now we need a quick point guard. Marquise Kennedy would work. That would make three Illinois Wolves.

I really like this pick up for us. He is a big man that can dribble and is able to run the floor. I hope he can develop a three point shot. He really is a very modern player and will fit right in with what we run. I believe we have two scholarships left and if we ended up with any two of Gordon, Shannon, Kennedy, and Braun it would be a fantastic recruiting class.

Nice pick up. Looking like a very strong recruiting class.

Another good thing is we have a chance to play internationally next year to help bring the team together.

First two commits both from Illinois Wolves, thank God for the Mullins family!

Notable schools we beat out:

Wojcik - DePaul, Illinois State, Columbia (we've lost a couple to Columbia over the years, always bothered me)

Welch - Ole Miss, Belmont, SIU, Bradley, Ohio

Also reports Welch had an offer from Northwestern, but I cannot confirm that from digging

Really impressive. And if Wojcik would have held out, I bet he would have picked up more than a few high major offers this summer. I know Northwestern and Notre Dame were showing a lot of interest. He committed in April before the big summer showcases and he has been playing really well in AAU games this summer.

Exciting times!

Wojcik didn't commit in April; he committed in late June per his Twitter account.
