Can anyone who attended the A10 tournament chime in about their experience, especially if you had attended Arch Madness in St,L?

next year's A10 is in Washington. Which should be an excellent draw for the 6 schools within easy driving distance.

Quite surprised to see the Friday off-day. What’s the logic? Has any other conf. tournament done this format before ?

I’ve got to say I am less than impressed with these A10 broadcasting crews and USA network. Boring voices and lack of personalities compared to the other networks. Thankfully CBS Sports is carrying Saturdays and Sundays games so that’s an upgrade.

Next year is in Brooklyn also. They go back to DC in two years.

I'll preface this by saying this is informed speculation on my part. The A10 wants their championship game on Sunday because it's televised on CBS (as part of a double header with the Big Ten championship). They can't get a CBS game on Saturday because CBS would rather show the Big Ten semifinals and Mountain West Final. So the choice of day off is partially driven by TV.

If the Sunday final is driven by TV, then why not start everything one day later and get rid of the off day? I'm less certain about that, but I think it might have to do with rest. Almost every year the A10 will have one or more bubble teams that are either "Last 4 In" or "Last 4 Out." By adding an off day, you remove the possibility that a team will have to play 4 games in 5 days (Friday, Saturday, Sunday in the A10 Tournament and then a First Four game on Tuesday).

Annually it’s been a Weds afternoon thru Sunday event. No days off. This year they started on a Tuesday. Starting to wonder if they couldn’t get the TV time for Friday.

The Tuesday game and subsequent loss made the LUC Alumni gathering at Fulton Hall Bar Tuesday evening a bit awkward to say the least

Loyola was obviously not aware of the schedule change.
