Nice player, scored 28 against West Aurora the other night, has to take a lot of shots because the team is so bad. Got beat by 30.

I don't know much about West Chicago but I've read he has carried them to a lot of wins and teams usually lock in on him. For what it's worth they're still 16-8, so the team isn't getting rolled over consistently. Really seems like we're all in recruiting the kid. Searching twitter Mullins and Moser have been in to watch him several times; he also attended the WSU game. Some reading for any interested (Also worth noting we're somewhat involved in Taylor Bruninga and Teyvion Kirk...love that we're in the mix for locals):

their handle reminds me....even though Im a Cardinal fan ( I can hear the booos from hear...lighten up you won A WS) I used to skip class and take the L for 45 cents and sit in the bleachers next to Bill Vecks wooden leg for $1....coulda been an honor roll student! Saw some great stuff..Saw JEnkins beat Gibson on a Billy Williams HR ...saw Willy Mays play in his last year with the Mets......sorry Fr. Loftus but that was an education.

In a new development, looks like we're still actively pursuing Taylor Bruninga. Played AAU ball at the same program as Matt Chastain. Similar to Chastain his recruitment has been exploding late. He currently has offers from Eastern Illinois, Illinois State, UNI, along with varying interest from Creighton, Northwestern, Valpo, Illinois, etc. Apparently even Kansas had scouts to check on him recently. Not at all sure how he projects next level and I think the schools checking on him really show that. He puts up absurd numbers against significantly inferior competition in Central Illinois; and i mean absurd: At one point he went for 49pts-18reb-6ast-6stl-4 blocks....

Overall I'd still prefer a player in Bibbs mold. I think a scoring guard who can create for themselves is really important next year; obviously we're not going to find a Milton type right away, but if we can get a player similar to Earl Peterson who can push the pace and get to the rim as well as shoot with space we'll be in good shape.
