Huge win last night over Brasil! Having started the pool at 0-2, the USA needed to go 2-1 over the last 3 and get help. The top 4 of 6 teams advance to the quarterfinal. With a 4 set win, the USA earned 3 huge points. The Olympics chose to use the Point system and not Wins-Losses. If the match had gone 5 sets, the winner only receives 2 points.

Jaeschke finally got on the court. This was important even for only a few rotations. It gave Taylor Sander a breather for a bit. It gave Jaeschke some action on the court. If we need to go to him again, he's now seen some live play.
