A fantastic victory! It was much easier than I expected. It looked as if the play-in match on Tuesday really helped the team get over the "jitters." I wonder how Mr. Kniffen is going to vote in the final poll?

After we won the MIVA tournament over Lewis, he had his team #1, Lewis (who swept his team on their own floor) at #2, Pepperdine #3, and Loyola #4.

Even though I was a bit irked to see Loyola get hosed in the seeding process, I was happy for the potential to play UC-Irvine in the semi-finals. Completely destroyed them today! How did UC-Irvine get the #1 seed? Psh...they'd be a third seed at best...in the MIVA. At least Pfeiffer challenged us a little.

Lewis was the #1 seed in the tournament, UC Irvine was #2. In the latest RPI (released on the Monday AFTER the NCAA tournament teams were announced on Saturday) Loyola was #1, Lewis was #2, and UC Irvine was #3. Yet UC Irvine was #1 in the last AVCA poll (widely used as "the national rankings," voted on by coaches, and exhibiting a strong bias toward MPSF teams discussed in many threads on this forum).

Correct. I was just referring to the comment above that said UC Irvine was seeded #1. Now we have the opportunity to beat the top ranked team AND the # 1 see. GO RAMBLERS!!!!!
