Guess I was a bit behind, didn't realize Jason left as well. Ouch.

How about Jalen Rose? He said on a podcast recently that he would like to coach some day.lusuperfan wrote:Either way, LU needs some coaches with some clout in Chicago and Indiana. Maybe even bring in a big name from the pros like we did with Sheryl Swoops. Other thoughts?

Re: New Assistants
I was always a big Tom Boerwinkle fan, but he's dead. Maybe Moser could hire Will Perdue. He'd look impressive standing sentinel along the sidelines during practice!
Edit: On second thought, maybe Boerwinkle could still be considered for the position (assuming he wasn't cremated). He might not be the best recruiter anymore, but his condition (being dead) would certainly not interfere with the discharge of the responsibilities Moser entrusts to his assistants at practice.

Re: New Assistants
Ironically, the problem with someone like Rose is he already has a good commentator gig so wouldn't it cost a pretty penny to get him?ahunte1 wrote:How about Jalen Rose? I was thinking more Scottie Pippen because he could use just about any amount of money somebody would throw his way...

Yeah, I'd imagine.lusuperfan wrote:Ironically, the problem with someone like Rose is he already has a good commentator gig so wouldn't it cost a pretty penny to get him?

Was Pat Baldwin Collin's first hire?

Re: New Assistants
Hey 86...Any chance you'd give up your lucrative career to go back and coach?
Cigarboy sucks!

Nobody in the athletic dept wants a guy that will tell you the unvarnished truth and then actually do something to make it better

Yeah, that would really suck.LU 86 wrote:Nobody in the athletic dept wants a guy that will tell you the unvarnished truth and then actually do something to make it better
(And by the way, you're not the only one who's had a little experience with the phenomenon of being an unwelcome messenger)

For the right money I'd slather on so many layers of varnish that you could sell their bullshit for amber boulders.
