Christian Thomas' 16 points yesterday gave him an even 1300 for his career, passing Ron Miller's 1299 for 19th place in LU history. With another 16 today, he could pass John Egan for 18th. He's also got 655 career rebounds to rank 17th.
Turk's 3 three-pointers last night gave him 60 on the season, giving him 60 or more in each year of his career. His 189 career three pointers are 2nd on Loyola's all time list, 15 behind Blake Schib.
The Ramblers are currently 7-6 on the road, and haven't had an above-.500 road record since 1985. With last night's win, they're 10-6 away from home (road plus neutral) this season.
Loyola has only been favored in nine games this season, one game was a pick 'em, and they've been the underdog in 17. Loyola is 7-2 as the favorite, 0-1 in pick 'ems, and 8-9 as an underdog this season.

Yes. There's a lot of bad blood between these two teams, and the place is packed. It all started a few years ago when Jackie Carmichael kicked a WSU player while rebounding, and the feud has simmered since then. WSU fans also weren't happy when Dan Mueller voted for ISU in first place in the preseason poll this year.
Here's the Carmichael kick:

WSU came back and won that game in Normal.

Interesting , JCT!
So far it's a great game. I guess I am rooting sure who I sm rooting for yet. I'm trying not to get too far ahead of myself because I know that we are underdogs for our game, but I can't help but take an interest in this game just in case we can pull it off.
If we were to pull an upset, I'm not sure which of these two teams I would rather play. I like the way we played against Wichita State this season, and for some reason I think we match up better against Wichita State than ISU. Either way, I just want this to be a knockdown, drag out game we're both teams are exhausted at the end.

If we had Milt for the games against ISUred, we win them both. If we were to upset UNI, I would want ISUred.

Win or lose, this team has made it a great year. It's also nice to have a weekend in a town where I can walk outside without a coat! 65, sunny, and a great crowd here.

This is a crazy tournament ! I see why people talk about how great arch madness was when we first joined the league. The level of competition, the venue, and everything that goes with it is just awesome
