Looks like Coach Gardner is leaving as well to join his former Arizona teammate Josh Pastner at Memphis.

Congrats to these two for "moving up" in the world -- to the Big 10 and a consistent NCAA tourney participant, respectively.

Certainly wish they had stuck around.

While upward mobility certainly appears to be a factor in the departure of the assistant coaching staff, I can't help but think that they also were sensitive to the total lack of loyalty which Moser and Calhoun have shown in their extensive personnel purges within the basketball program and athletic department.

Wow, no one around anymore. That is really not good.

It's certainly possible. But my hunch is that this is what happens in the assistant coach ranks.

Hoping we get a combination of someone with solid experience, perhaps in the MVC and some young talent willing to recruit their butts off.
