Wow. That sucks. He is going to be an immediate contributor and all-conference caliber. Disappointed Porter couldn't convert on him.

D'Amico article.

Disappointed. I wonder if he might have thought he wasn't a Rambler priority since his offer came a few weeks after we had offered his high school teammates Sayles and Lesmond.

New offer: Daylen Berry, 6'4" shooting guard from North Carolina.

I'll let Mr. Coffee flesh out the particulars while I bask in the glory of scooping him.

Well he tweeted this two days ago, which seems like it would have been ripped straight from Porter’s “cultural wall”.swellafelon wrote:New offer: Daylen Berry, 6'4" shooting guard from North Carolina.

Two and a half minute highlight video shows a lot of athleticism that he like to use on chase down blocks and jumping into passing lanes. Not afraid to pull up from 3 and has some good passing vision, especially outlets on the fast break. Averaged 17.9 points, 5.1 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 2.2 steals, and 1.5 blocks per game.
The Charlotte Observer has him as their #20 recruit in the state for the class of 2021. Offers from a lot of the NC mid-majors (UNCW, UNCG, Charlotte, Wofford, NC Central, Charleston Southern) and a few other east coast school (James Madison, George Mason, Fairfield) per verbal commits.
Article from earlier this year on his recruitment and what he’s looking for here and another interview here.

That's the third recruit we've lost to the Ivies, Wojcik and Lesmond committed to Harvard.
We need to start going after dumber guys, LU 86 types, only more athletic.

Despite what my girlfriend might say I’m not always on Twitter. I sometimes even go outside and go for walks along the lake, like I was doing when this news broke.ahunte1 wrote:Where are the recruiting gurus??
I’m also super excited we got him. Might have been my favorite if the guys we had offered thus far based on the highlight videos I watched.
